Valentines Day Outfit Ideas...

It's been a while my friends!

I really do apologise about my lack of blogging over the past few weeks. I've not been in a great frame of mind and needed a little time too myself. Lots of scary medical stuff going on but things are getting sorted so lets move on and talk about my most recent Motel Rocks Haul.

I'm sure you all know by now that I am a humongous Motel Rocks fan and I am very lucky to be able to work with them on a regular basis!

They recently added some new lines and they are so so perfect for Valentines Day. Roses...everywhere!

I know it's a little soon and very in advance but if you want to dress to impress this Valentines Day then you need to prep and so I am here to help! There are some dressy night-time items and some more casual daytime ideas too.

Be sure to check out their website for even more beautiful ideas, these were just my favourites that I wanted for myself.

Metis Babydoll Dress (Cuban Rose)

If you're wondering why the pictures in the woods are such terrible quality it's because they are snapshots from my look book video which is coming very soon! So keep an eye out for that!

I love this dress so much. I wore it to work yesterday and I got sooo many compliments. Everyone loved the colours and said how pretty it was.

It's the perfect length that you feel covered up but short enough that it's 'cutesy'.
Is that even a word?

I teamed this with a bowler hat, some thick tights and my Doc Martins but you can wear it in so many ways. I've gone for grungy in my look book but it can be made to look very vintage if you do some retro curls and wear some statement shoes such as Irregular Choice.

Or you could make it look super super girly with a flower in your hair or something. I think you can make it what you want really. I like that you can dress it down for the day or dress it up for the night.
I think with my ginger hair I can pull off red fairly well so all these red prints are finding their way into my wardrobe this month.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the pussy bow detail too, you can either have the buttons open or all done up and it looks great.
The only down-point to the dress is that it creases very easily so bare that in mind!

It's quite a baggy fit so I would say it's over sized but I like that so I got it in my usual XS.
If you wanted a tighter fit (personally I prefer a loose fit) then go a size smaller.

You can buy it here for £40. They also do a leopard print version which is very daring!
They do this pattern in a beautiful bodice too which is also featured in this post. It's my favourite of all the items.

You're welcome.

Wyatt Bodycon Dress (Black Net Rose Embroidery)

This is a very sexy dress as it's completely see-through so in my look book I added leggings and a vest underneath which is how I would personally always wear it or with a similar length vest dress underneath.

Although if I was feeling brave I would wear my red velvet bralet with some high waisted leggings.

I am going to be wearing it this Valentines Day, minus the tights and adding some high heels. I think we are planning a nice romantic meal somewhere.
This is very true to size, and has such beautiful embroidery detail. They are lovely little roses and pair wonderfully with a bold red lipstick.

I added a nice choker for a little bit of simple detail.

The only thing about this dress is it's super easy to pull (saying that I haven't done that myself yet so maybe you presume it will be but it's good quality so it doesn't?). I wore it to work today and one of my favourites puppies walked in and I wanted to run up to him and cuddle him but I couldn't because I knew I might rip my dress and not being able to love the dog really ruined my day.
So you have to be careful, also the threads on the roses can pull easily BUT I think that's a nice feature as it adds a 3D effect.

If it was just for a nice meal it would be so so perfect though. Very sleek and smart.

I actually noticed that Rachel in Friends wears a very very similar dress! In the episode where she is trying to get her customer at Bloomingdales (Josh-u-war) to realise they would look great together.

You can buy it here for £40 and they also do the same print in a bodice which is soooo nice.

Ramel Bodice (Cuban Rose)

I only got the one photo of this but it's my favourite item.
If you want to flaunt what you've got then this is the bodysuit for you.
It's extremely figure flattering. I actually feel like a woman in this.
It's flattering on the derriere too ;)

Like if you need to seduce whoever you're dragging out for Valentines Day then wear this.
I would wear this with high waisted light denim skinny jeans and some nice ankle boots. Add a leather jacket for a nice day out look.

(Just noticed the model on the website is sort of dressed like this)

I love that all these items are not strictly Valentines Day only. I will wear the hell out of this top all year round.
The tie at the top is a nice added touch as you don't need a choker. This is very similar to the shoelace chokers that are all over Instagram recently anyway.

This is the same pattern as the first dress and I love it.
It's a fairly tight fit so bare that in mind when ordering.

Buy here for just £30.
It is also available in plain black or red.

Ether Top (Gold Glitter)

This top is not from the Valentines Day collection but I had to have it. It's sooo me. I wish I had this to wear at Christmas time. It would have gone so well with all my sparkly outfits.

I love that it's long sleeved too. It suits my gold skirt so well which was from TK Maxx by the way.

Again it's a see-through sheer material. The glitter gets everywhere and I am worried it will all come off when I wash it so I shall have to keep you all updated on that when I do my first wash.

It's so beautiful though. I felt like a fairy in it. I just team it with a plain black vest but again could be worn with a pretty bralet like in the picture. My bralet is from H&M.

Such a cute top, something that will stay in my wardrobe for many years to come. I think it could just be added to any outfit for instant glitz and glam.

Shop it here for £30.

(How funny, I just read the description for washing instructions and it says to style it with a bralet and a velvet choker and that's exactly what I did. Me and the Motel Rocks stylist should be besties.

And those are all the items I was very kindly sent from Motel Rocks.
Cannot thank enough (again).
By far one of my favourite brands to work with.

I'm so excited to share my first ever look book with you all, should be up in the next week.

Hope you are all well and have gathered some V Day inspo from this, take a look at the Valentine's Day collection here, there is so much to choose from.

Much love,
