6 Ways to find your new favourite brands

Most of us have a particular brand or product that we’re extremely loyal to. It might be a favourite brand of lipstick or moisturiser, it’s always at the top of our list when it comes to shopping.

But there are so many great new products and brands out there that you might never hear about. Your new favourite product might be out there, ready to be discovered.

Below are some of the ways to find out about the great brands out there.

Friends & Family

The people around us are a great source of inspiration when it comes to the things we buy. It’s a great way to discover the best new brand, what shops they go to or websites they buy from. People tend to trust the word of mouth recommendations more than other forms of brand advertising.

Boutiques

If you find yourself constantly in the same stores, wearing the same brands, expand your horizons by visiting some Boutique stores.  They often stock products by small, independent suppliers who find it difficult to make themselves seen in all the noise on the internet.

Online Reviews

If you’re looking for something in particular,  such as the best hair dryer for thick hair or best moisturiser for those with rosacea, you can almost guarantee that it has been asked and answered somewhere on the internet before.

A quick google search will lead you to a number of products you never knew existed, along with reviews and recommendations from others. It’s also a good way to find out which products aren’t suitable either, people are just as eager to tell you when something doesn’t work.

Bloggers & Vloggers

There’s a reason why brands spend a lot of time and effort on influencer marketing. It works. You probably already follow a number of people online, social media and Youtube. These people are great for finding out about new brands and products. Even though they are often paid to do so, a good influencer will only promote products that they themselves would have been happy to buy in the first place.

Sign up to newsletters

Sites like Brand Alley are filled with offers on new and designer luxury brands. As they’re not dedicated to one particular brand, you’re bound to find something new that catches your eye.

Head to online marketplaces

Sites such as Not On The High Street and Etsy exist to provide a platform for independent brands to sell their products. They are an absolute treasure trove of beautiful products and designs. The next time you are looking for some inspiration, have a browse through the marketplaces. You’ll also be supporting independent businesses too, which is another great reason to buy.

I hope you found these suggestions helpful!

Stay safe,

  1. Great tips! I shop most of my clothes secondhand, so for me it is about finding those high quality pieces that will last a long time. Vintage pieces are the best!
